90% of menopausal women say that their symptoms negatively affect their personal and working lives
The Boutros Bear Menopause Support Programme
Designed in collaboration with women’s health and menopause expert Dr Susanna Unsworth, we have launched our 8-week Menopause Support Programme.
The programme is designed to allow people to develop an understanding of their perimenopause and menopause. We provide a holistic approach including mental and physical support. Engaging with this helps individuals reduce the side effects and symptoms of going through menopause.

Our menopause support programme provides personalised one-to-one coaching tailored to every individual and is supplemented by our evidence based online e-learning modules to help you further understand menopause.
Our modules include:
- Hormonal changes during menopause
- How to manage potential symptoms
- The benefits of exercise
- The benefits of a balanced diet
- Supporting mental health and wellbeing
- Hormone replacement therapy (HRT)
- Sexual health
- Managing menopause in the workplace
Nutrition
The programme will explain the importance of a healthy balanced diet, as well also provide you with recipe suggestions that have been specifically selected by our dieticians. Many of our recipes contain phytoestrogens, as well as key vitamins and minerals such as vitamin A and magnesium. These serve to balance the hormonal changes that occur in the body during the menopausal transition.
Exercise and Personal Coaching
We assign you a personal health coach to support you every step of the way. They provide personalised movement and exercise plans, specifically focused on your individuals needs, improving well-being and quality of life.
Mental Health Services
Heightened levels of anxiety, stress and depression are three of the most common symptoms of menopause.
Each programme participant will have access to our qualified counselling psychologists lead by Dr Sarah Bateup. Dr Bateup is an experienced therapist and teacher, having delivered over 30,000 hours of evidence-based therapy and taught at Kings College, London and Exeter University.
Our mental health support services are also available to carers. The provision of this will need to be agreed upon as an addition to the base package.
